Private Dementia Consulting

Our Dementia Care Advisors work with you and your family to offer support and recommend effective, personalized solutions for your situation.

Please contact us for your no-cost 20 minute phone or Zoom consultation.

How it works

Call us at 1-888-502-1321 or email us to arrange your free over the phone 20 minute consultation. During this consultation we find out what you are going through by asking a few questions and then we share how we will be able to support you. This is not a sales call.

Every situation is different and will need a customized approach. We may be able to offer you some simple easy to implement and practical recommendations to help reduce your stress right away and/or referrals to others who can also support you.

When working with us, our main goal is to minimize the stress you are experiencing from your caregiving role as quickly as possible and for as long as possible.

We want all families to never feel alone on this often long and difficult journey. We offer our clients anywhere in North America a place to turn to for questions, suggestions, emotional support and guidance anytime, including outside of normal business hours.

Some of the types of support we provide:

  • We assist family caregivers looking for personalized recommendations on how to keep someone living with dementia safe in a supportive environment;
  • When it’s time to consider a move;
  • Creative solutions for the move day;
  • Support on navigating the health care system;
  • Creative ideas on how to manage particular changed behaviours;
  • Emotional support and/or techniques on how to reduce your stress as a caregiver so that you and the person(s) you’re caring for live a happy, harmonious and meaningful life.

We customize our services to meet our client’s needs and make sure they are personalized.

Consultations

  • Consultations are offered via the following options:
  • Telephone conversations
  • Emails
  • Texting
  • Online meeting rooms/Skype/Zoom
  • In-person meetings (At a coffee shop or perhaps a home visit may be an option for us to get to know your family member and situation better. COVID-19 protocols will need to be followed.)

We look forward to helping you to continue to be a healthy and vibrant family caregiver for the person you are caring for.

“Navigating the labyrinth of BC’s long-term care services for a parent living with dementia has been a very challenging journey.  We are so grateful to have connected with Karen ~ her in-depth knowledge, steady support and guidance, and calm reassurance have been our anchor in a sea of unknowns.
Thank you, Karen!”
