"I thoroughly enjoyed the program. As I work overnights, it is essential that any course I take can be done on MY timetable; that I could also do it in the comfort of my own home was a bonus. I highly recommend it!"

Melica Althia Hinkson, CDCP

"I would like to express my gratitude to Karen Tyrell and the Team at Personalized Dementia Solutions Inc. A highly professional, affordable and very effective training program that rivals (perhaps surpasses) others out there. I found the CDCP™ course offered by Personalized Dementia Solutions Inc., to be well structured, informative and schedule that not only focused on ensuring that the CDCP™ exam was passed. It emphasizes on practice and understanding self-care as a great way to lay a strong foundation towards Dementia care."

Shelly Blair, CDCP

"I am so happy that I took this course. Thank you - the information is so well presented and hits on all of the issues presented to a caregiver! I look forward to utilizing the skills learned (and already have been doing so - as I have a client with vascular dementia. I feel so much more confident in my time with her. I have already seen times when I utilize the "why" and put on my investigative hat - I can diffuse a situation before it really even begins. Again, thank you so much..."

Erica Kerry, CDCP

"Anyone caring for or working with someone suffering from Dementia, should definitely take this course. I highly recommend it. Extremely informative, clear and easy to understand and retain the information. Throughout the course, Karen reminds you to stop and take a deep breath while looking at a photo of nice scenery. This is very helpful to give your brain that little break and then get back to it.
I learned so much about all the different types of dementia, as well as being creative with our thinking and think outside the box when caring for someone with dementia- reminding ourselves there is always a reason for the behaviour, as well as useful tips and strategies on keeping the peace and validating the person’s feelings and putting their concerns at ease using Therapeutic Reasoning™.
Most importantly we go over caregiver burnout and tips on how to prevent it, as well as how to take care of ourselves when it happens. Care/support workers, Recreation Therapists, loved ones, anyone spending time with someone who has dementia should definitely take this course! I cannot stress this enough. I believe it should be mandatory in all Senior Living Residences who have Assisted Living and Long-term/complex care."

Joanne Fuller, CDCP

I am glad that I was able to capture a different view on how to handle and render care to patients with Neurodegenerative diseases. It's such an awesome feeling to be part of this community that's been striving to achieve a common goal, and that is to care and pour love to our clients."

Heather Lyons, CDCP

"I had been searching for a new learning opportunity to advance my skills. I just was not finding that right fit or that course/ learning opportunity that called out to me. I came across the "Cracking The Dementia Code™" course and was immediately drawn to the course content. I signed up immediately and after completing "Cracking The Dementia Code™" I knew I wanted to take the CDCP™ course. I saw things that we were doing wrong within current work and I wanted to be able to support the individuals that we provide care to.
Karen and the CDCP™ course provided me with that missing learning opportunity that I feel is going to help me provide the best care possible! Thank you for such a great learning opportunity!"

Dr. John Joel Dela Merced, CDCP

Lyn Steele, CDCP

I didn't fully understand that Dementia is not a disease - but a SYNDROME, and that there are far more facets of Dementia than I realized. There have been certain behaviours and scenarios mentioned in this program that I didn't realize were part of different stages and diagnoses of Dementia. When you hear the word Dementia, it's a very "one-dimensional" blanket term, but when you delve deeper (you'll understand this term better when you take the course ) you will soon realize that it is the farthest thing from "one-dimensional".

Joana Marie Sabariaga, CDCP

"At the very beginning I never doubted that this CDCP™ course is something I needed to broaden my knowledge about dementia. What I never expected was I actually enjoyed taking up this online course. Unlike any other online courses that are just time-consuming this one is different. They tried to consider the learner's responses and ideas on some given situations. And what I loved the most was the part of reminding the learner to take deep breaths and take a break."

Janine Willemsen, CDCP

"Karen and her team have done an amazing job at providing this much needed training for not only front line staff but families, volunteers or anyone working with people living with dementia.
This online self-paced course gives you that much needed confidence and knowledge while emphasizing the importance of person-centred care of those living with dementia and equally as important, preventing caregiver burnout by knowing the warning signs and practicing self-care."

Georgia Clayton, CDCP

"This course has opened my mind, eyes and given me so much to work toward, especially when it comes to using what I have learned with my own family and friends, clients, as in the community I come from, we are one and the same.
Thank you for everything! I look forward to taking more courses!"

Sonia Bejerano, CDCP

"I love this whole CDCP™ course. I Love how this whole course is respecting the feelings of Everyone.
I thought it was very thorough. Lots of in depth explanations of Dementia & Alzheimers. We are given tools on how to manage difficult situations in a Caring Professional manner. To be in tune to Why someone is acting the way they are. There is always a Reason for the Behavior. It is informative for Professional & Family & Personal Care Givers also. I Love the in depth training for the Caregiver to understand the Disease & that they are not alone.I loved Therapeutic Reasoning™. I used that with my own Experience with My mom & mother in law who both had Dementia. To Seek the Help that is Available. The Importance of Self Care & how to Self Care so you Prevent Burnout. So Common in our world today. It is a Lesson People in all Facets of Life & working need to hear.
Also learning Healthy Boundaries. I was a Yes person, but in the past 10 years I have Learned the Importance of Healthy Boundaries. We are all Leaders in some capacity starting as children through adult hood. I think CDCP™ is A Good Example of How to Care & Lead with Compassion."
