dementia solutions

Dementia Solutions, or Personalized Dementia Solutions Inc., was initiated in Vancouver, BC in 2009. It was founded by its current CEO Karen Tyrell, Dementia Educator & Consultant, Author, and Speaker.

Our mission is to be a true leader in shifting the way dementia related behaviours are managed by both professional and family caregivers.

We do that by supporting families who are caring for someone affected by dementia through 1-1 meetings; support groups or through our Family Support Membership.

We also provide certificate education to frontline professional caregivers to help them build confidence and success in their role.

Our purpose is to move away from the old medical and task-focused model towards a new way of doing things, based on compassionate and creative person-centred care that results in more harmony and quality of life for all those affected by dementia and their caregivers.
