Annual Renewal Policy for The CDCP™ Dementia Designation Program

Who is the CDCP™ Dementia Designation Renewal For:

The CDCP™ Dementia Designation renewal is only for those who had already successfully completed the CDCP™ Dementia Designation Program and have a valid certificate but according to the certificate the certification is about to expire.

Maintaining Your CDCP™ Dementia Designation:

Graduates are required to renew their certification annually within a month before expiring but no later than 30 days after membership has expired in order to remain a Certified Dementia Care Provider in good standing.

What is Involved with Renewing Your CDCP™ Dementia Designation:

Renewing graduates are NOT required to retake the entire CDCP™ Program. However, successful completion of an Annual Case Study Assessment with a passing mark of 75% or more, will prove to us that you are still aware of the dementia care techniques we shared with you in the CDCP™ program. This should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

You will also need to agree once again to our CDCP™ Code of Professional Responsibility for the year. You are welcome to re-take any of the lessons inside the Dementia Care Academy at any time during the year after you have successfully renewed and have obtained your renewal certificate.

How to Renew Your CDCP™ Dementia Designation:

  1. To renew your CDCP™ Dementia Designation, click here to pay the renewal fee of $ 50 (plus applicable taxes) (Please see our special discount referral program below.) If you do not automatically get redirected to the CDCP™ Renewal Page, please copy-paste this link: https://dementiasolutions.ca/register/cdcp-annual-renewal/
  2. Upon receipt of your renewal payment, you will be provided with the special link to take the Annual CDCP™ Dementia Designation Annual Case Study Assessment.
  3. Upon successful completion of the Annual Case Study Assessment with a passing mark of 75% or more and agreeing to our “Certified Dementia Care Provider Code of Ethics”, you will be able to maintain the CDCP Designation for another 365 days. An updated e-certificate will be issued to you. You will also be able to enjoy the benefits of being a member of the CDCP ™ Community. Please refer to your certificate for when you will need to renew for the next year.
  4. You will have (1) month to complete the Annual Case Study Assessment after paying the renewal fee. If you have NOT completed the Annual Case study within this time period, your name will be removed from our website and your CDCP Designation will not be valid. Should you wish to take the Annual Case Study after the 1-month expiry, you will be required to pay an administration fee of $25 for us to re-activate your account manually.

If You DO NOT Renew Your CDCP™ Dementia Designation On Time:

If your CDCP™ Dementia Designation expires and is within 30 days after the expiry date, your name will be removed from our database, and your designation will no longer be valid.

If you choose to renew between 30 days and 3 months after the expiry date, you will be required to pay a $25 late penalty fee (plus applicable taxes) in addition to the $50 annual renewal fee (plus applicable taxes).

After 6 months, if we haven’t heard from you and you wish to renew, you will need to repurchase and complete the entire program, as renewal will no longer be possible.

Special Discount for Renewal – Referral Program:

Annual Fee: $50/year plus applicable taxes

You can receive 50% off ($25) your annual renewal fee for every successful student referral to the CDCP™ Dementia Designation Program. (“Successful Referral” means the person that was referred, registered into the CDCP™ program.)

If you have referred (2) successful students in the CDCP program in the past year, then your annual renewal is FREE!

This is our way of saying “Thank You” for helping spread the word and help increase the number of people with specialized skills in dementia care.
